DyeMansion completes screening of new article processing technological know-how prepared for Formnext 2019 start

German automated post-processing provider DyeMansion is established to launch new 3D printing certification write-up processing tools at Formnext 2019.

Possessing completed beta tests of its VaporFuse Surfacing (VFS) engineering within just its Print-to-Product or service workflow, the firm will be presenting Powerfuse S, the hardware for this process, at the clearly show next month.

A chemical-based mostly system, VFS engineering smooths and glosses polymer-based areas. It was released in 2018 as “the to start with thoroughly clean vapor technologies for 3D printed parts” in its beta-stage for materials such as PA12 and TPU (SLS) and PA12 (MJF).

Rivaling injection molded pieces

VFS is a closed, automatic system, able of creating 3D printed pieces drinking water repellent and effortless to cleanse, frequent properties of injection molded sections. “During the approach, the surface is dissolved by condensed vapor,” explained DyeMansion’s R&D Chemist Dr. Alena Folger on the introduction of the know-how, “Thus, the polymer chains have a adequately substantial mobility and rearrange at the floor.

“The overall floor region and the area energy is lowered. Concurrently, the element is smoothed. Upon eliminating the solvent, the polymer hardens again.”

The course of action is the second surfacing option from DyeMansion, and functions as an alternate to PolyShot Surfacing (PSS), a mechanical matte-ending method, that also enables the addition of vivid colors throughout the RAL spectrum.

Print-to-Products workflow

The full DyeMansion Print-to-Merchandise workflow provides 3D printed portion cleansing, surfacing and coloring for laser sintering (LS) and HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) procedures. The Powershot C, delivers automated aspect cleansing, whereas the Powershot S uses PSS technologies. According to the company, the newly made VFS Powerfuse S method is acceptable for both of those difficult and adaptable polymer pieces.

Guests to Formnext 2019 can see the Powerfuse S and DyeMansion’s other submit processing technologies in Hall 11.1, stand D61 from November 19th to the 22nd.
